Patient Experience
I'd been to a couple of doctors about this nagging fatigue and stomach thing, and everyone just said it was stress. Dr. Rawia was the first one who actually sat and listened to my whole history. She ordered some different tests and connected dots others missed – turned out it was a tricky thyroid issue combined with a mild food intolerance. She explained it all on a notepad, drawing little diagrams. I finally feel like I'm getting somewhere. (Patient of Dr. Rawia)
Had to get a small cyst removed. Honestly, I was pretty nervous about it, even though they said it was routine. Dr. Rawia talked me through every single step on the day, even what the room would sound like. The procedure itself was over before I knew it. The worst part was probably the parking garage being really full that morning! Follow-up was quick and easy, scar is healing nicely. (Patient of Dr. Rawia)
The whole experience at Burjeel was smoother than I expected. The front desk staff helped me sort out my insurance paperwork without making me feel like an idiot for not understanding it. The clinic itself was calm and clean, which helped settle my nerves. And the nurse who took my vitals before seeing Dr. Rawia was really kind and chatty – it didn't feel like an assembly line. (Patient of Dr. Rawia)
What stuck with me most about Dr. Rawia is how she talks to you. She doesn't rush. She'll ask a question and then really wait for your answer, looking at you, not just at the computer screen. When I was worried about a medication side-effect, she didn't dismiss it; she explained the why behind it and we worked out a different plan together. You feel like a person in her office, not just a case. (Patient of Dr. Rawia)
