Patient Experience
I'd been to three doctors about this constant fatigue and stomach pain. Everyone said it was stress. Dr. Desai actually listened, asked a ton of questions I hadn't been asked before, and ordered a specific test the others hadn't. Turns out it was a tricky parasite. He explained it all with a diagram on his notepad—sounds simple, but it made sense for the first time. Started treatment and I'm finally feeling like myself again.
Had to get a small cyst removed. Honestly, I was more nervous about the hospital experience than the procedure itself. But Dr. Desai's team had it down to a routine. In and out in a few hours. The whole thing was so straightforward it was almost boring, which is exactly what you want. He checked in afterwards and the scar is healing really cleanly.
The parking at Apollo was a nightmare that day, completely full. I was flustered by the time I got to the clinic. But the front desk lady was so calm, found my file quickly, and the nurse who took my vitals had a really nice way of chatting that settled me down. Even the waiting area was quiet and clean. It made dealing with the actual appointment much easier.
Look, I don't really like doctors. I get awkward. But Dr. Desai has this very calm, direct way of talking. He doesn't sugarcoat things, but he also doesn't talk down to you. When I was worried about a medication side effect, he didn't dismiss it; he explained why it happens and how we could adjust. Felt like I was talking to a very knowledgeable person, not just a medical authority.
