Patient Experience
I'd been to a couple of doctors for this nagging fatigue and stomach issue, and everyone just said it was stress. Dr. Kamath was different. He actually listened to everything, asked questions no one else had, and ordered a specific test. Turns out it was a tricky thyroid problem affecting my gut. He explained it all with a diagram on his notepad. I finally feel like I'm getting somewhere.
Had to get a small cyst removed. Honestly, I was nervous at first, but Dr. Kamath made it so straightforward. The whole thing was over in what felt like minutes. He talked me through each step as it was happening, which really kept me calm. The follow-up was quick, and the scar is healing much neater than I expected.
The Apollo facility is nice, though I did have to circle for parking. What stood out was the team. The front desk lady remembered my name when I came back for reports, and the nurse who took my vitals was really kind—she could tell I was anxious and just chatted about the weather to distract me. It felt like everyone was on the same page, which made the visit less stressful.
My teenage son had to see him, and he's usually so closed off. Dr. Kamath has this way of talking *with* you, not at you. He asked my son questions directly and took his answers seriously. He didn't just look at the chart; he looked at the person. My son actually said afterwards, 'He was alright.' That's high praise.
