Patient Experience
I'd been to three other doctors about this constant fatigue and stomach pain. Everyone said it was stress. Dr. Chithra was the first one who actually sat and listened, really listened, to all the weird little symptoms I thought were unrelated. She ordered a specific test the others hadn't, and it turned out to be a tricky thyroid issue combined with a mild food intolerance. She explained it all on a notepad, drawing little diagrams. I finally feel like I have a path forward, not just a shrug.
Had to get a small cyst removed. Honestly, I was more nervous about the hospital process than the procedure itself. But with Dr. Chithra, it was just... straightforward. She told me exactly what would happen, how long it would take, and what the scar might look like. No sugar-coating, but also no scary drama. In and out the same day, and the follow-up call from her nurse to check on the stitches was a nice touch.
The place is huge, and I got a bit turned around finding the wing. One of the desk ladies saw me looking lost, came out from behind her counter, and walked me right to the clinic door. The whole floor was calm and clean, which helped settle my nerves. Even though the waiting room was busy, it didn't feel chaotic. Dr. Chithra's clinic itself felt organized, not rushed.
My teenage son had to see her, and he hates doctors. Dr. Chithra didn't talk down to him. She asked him questions directly, cracked a dry joke about school lunches, and got him to smile. She has this quiet, calm way about her that makes you feel like you're the only person she has to see that day. He left saying, 'She's alright,' which is the highest praise from him.
