Patient Experience
I've been seeing Dr. Poonam for my blood pressure and general health for about eight years now, since she was at a different clinic. I followed her to Apollo. That says it all, really. She remembers my history without always checking the file, asks about my family, and never rushes me. When my sugar levels started creeping up last year, she laid out clear options without any pressure. It's that consistency I trust.
At my age, visiting the hospital can be quite an ordeal. Dr. Maurya at Apollo Bannerghatta made it much less so. She is a very good listener and explains things in a way I can understand. She took time with me, even when the clinic was busy. I felt heard and properly cared for, which is a great comfort.
Dr. Poonam Maurya is great. Straight talk, no nonsense. I went in with a weird pain in my side, nervous it was something big. She checked me over, asked the right questions, and figured it out fast (just a muscle thing, thankfully). Got a clear plan and was out without feeling confused. Parking at Apollo was a nightmare though.
I'd been feeling run-down for months—just tired all the time, couldn't shake a cough. My usual doc had retired. I booked with Dr. Maurya on a friend's suggestion, but I was skeptical. The waiting room was packed, and I almost left. But once I got in, she was different. She didn't just nod; she leaned forward, asked about my work stress, my sleep, things I hadn't even connected. Ordered a couple of specific tests others hadn't. Turned out it was a vitamin deficiency and mild asthma, of all things. Started treatment, and within a few weeks, I felt like myself again. She connected dots others missed.
