Patient Experience
I'd been to a couple of doctors for this nagging fatigue and stomach issue, and everyone just said it was stress. Dr. Sahoo actually listened to the whole, messy story. She ordered a different set of tests that others hadn't thought of, and it turned out to be something pretty rare with my thyroid. It wasn't a quick fix, but having the right name for it meant we could finally start proper treatment. She explained it all without making me feel stupid.
Had to get a small cyst removed. Honestly, I was nervous at first, but Dr. Sahoo made it seem like the most normal thing in the world. The whole thing at Apollo was over in a morning. She talked me through each step, the local anesthetic worked perfectly, and I was back home by lunch. Recovery was exactly as she said it would be—no surprises. Sometimes simple is good.
The parking at Apollo was a nightmare that day, completely full. I was already flustered when I got to the clinic. But the front desk lady saw I was stressed and was really kind about it. The whole place just felt calm, even though it was busy. By the time I saw Dr. Sahoo, I'd actually relaxed a bit. It's funny how a helpful person at reception can change your whole visit.
What I remember most is how she sat down. Other doctors seem to hover by the door. Dr. Sahoo pulled up a stool, looked me in the eye, and just asked, 'So, what's really going on?' She has this way of making you feel like you're the only person she has to see that day. When I got upset about some news, she didn't rush; she just waited a moment and let me process it. That meant a lot.
