Patient Experience
Been seeing Dr. Abdul Ghafur for my blood pressure and diabetes for almost 8 years now. He's at Apollo Greams Road. What I appreciate is he remembers me, remembers my history, and doesn't just jump to change my meds every visit. He listens to how I'm actually feeling, not just the numbers on the chart. There's a real trust there that's hard to find. Sure, sometimes the clinic is running late, but he never rushes you when you're in the room.
As someone who travels constantly for work, I need a doctor who gets to the point. Dr. Ghafur does. I came in with a persistent cough that was wrecking my sleep and meetings. He asked clear questions, ordered the right tests at Apollo, and had a treatment plan that worked fast. No fluff, just effective care. Exactly what I needed.
Look, I don't like going to the doctor. But my wife made me see Dr. Ghafur for a check-up. He was straight with me. Told me my cholesterol was up, explained why it mattered in plain language, and gave me options: better diet or pills. I chose the diet. It's working. He's no-nonsense, which I respect.
I was really worried last month. Had this weird pain in my side and was feeling run down for weeks. My friend recommended Dr. Ghafur. The first thing he did was sit down and say, "Okay, tell me everything from the beginning." He actually let me talk, took notes, and asked follow-up questions I hadn't even thought of. He sent me for a scan at the hospital, called me himself with the results (it was just a muscle strain, thank goodness), and walked me through the report line by line so I understood. The whole thing was stressful, but he made it manageable.
