Patient Experience
My son has been seeing Dr. Balamourougane for his asthma since he was 5. He's 12 now. What I appreciate most is that the doctor remembers him, remembers what worked last time, and doesn't just jump to the strongest meds. The clinic can get busy, sure, but he always makes time to listen to my concerns. After so many years, I trust his judgment completely—he’s been a steady hand through all the sniffles and scares.
Had my appendix out at Apollo. Dr. Balamourougane handled the whole thing. The first day after surgery was rough, I won't lie, but he and his team were really on top of the pain meds. He checked on me twice a day, even on the weekend, and explained exactly what each ache meant and how long it would last. It made the recovery less scary. I'm back home now and feeling better each day, following his clear instructions.
Took my daughter in for a bad fever. Dr. Balamourougane was great. Straight to the point, told us exactly what it was (just a virus) and what to watch for. No unnecessary tests. The wait was a bit long, but once we got in, he was efficient and kind. Got the help we needed.
We rushed our 4-year-old to Apollo Children's in the middle of the night—he had a terrifying croup cough and couldn't breathe right. The ER was chaotic, but when Dr. Balamourougane came in, he just had this calm about him. He knelt down to my son's level, talked in a soft voice about superheroes while listening to his chest. Explained the steroid treatment in a way that didn't panic us further. He followed up the next morning himself. That night could have been a traumatic memory, but the doctor's manner turned it into a story about how brave my boy was.
