Patient Experience
I was so scared going in for my first ever surgery. Dr. Ramamurthee just had this calm way about him, explained everything in simple words, and actually listened when I told him my fears. The whole team at Apollo OMR was great, but he made me feel like it was going to be okay. I'm just really relieved I found him.
Had my gallbladder out last week. Recovery's been rough, I won't lie, but Dr. Kannaiyan's plan for managing the pain actually worked. He called the day after to check in, which I wasn't expecting. Still sore, but following his instructions and feeling a bit better each day. He knows his stuff when it comes to getting you back on your feet.
Needed a general surgeon, got referred to Dr. Ramamurthee Kannaiyan. He was straight to the point, told me what was wrong and what we needed to do. Surgery went fine, follow-up was quick. No fuss, got the job done. Parking at Apollo OMR is always a nightmare though.
My story with Dr. Kannaiyan started with this nagging pain on my right side that wouldn't go away. I was nervous at first, thinking the worst. He didn't rush me; sat there with my reports, drew a little diagram on his notepad to show me what he thought was happening (turned out to be an appendix issue). The surgery itself was smooth, and what I really remember is him popping by my room the evening after, not just in the morning rounds. He asked if the food was okay, which made me laugh. It's those small things that stick with you. Five stars for making a scary time feel manageable.
