Patient Experience
I'd been to a couple of other doctors for this nagging abdominal pain and fatigue. They all said it was stress. Dr. Selvakumar actually listened to the whole history, asked a ton of questions, and ordered a specific test the others hadn't. Turned out to be a tricky gallbladder issue that wasn't showing up on the usual scans. He explained it in a way that finally made sense. I'm just relieved someone figured it out.
Had to get a small cyst removed. Honestly, I was nervous at first, but Dr. Selvakumar made the whole thing feel very straightforward. The procedure itself was quick, and he talked me through each step. Recovery was exactly as he said it would be—no surprises. Sometimes you just want things to be simple, and this was.
The hospital itself is nice and calm, which helps when you're feeling anxious. But what really stood out was the team. The nurse at the front desk saw I was looking lost and walked me to the right department. The assistant in Dr. Selvakumar's room was really kind, and even the person who took my blood samples was gentle and cracked a small joke to lighten the mood. It felt like everyone was on the same page.
What I remember most is how Dr. Selvakumar sat down with me and my wife after the diagnosis. He didn't rush. He drew a simple diagram on his notepad to show us what was going on, answered all our worried questions without making us feel silly, and even asked how this would affect my work schedule. He just has a very calm, present way about him that puts you at ease.
