Patient Experience
I'd been to a couple of doctors about this persistent pain, and everyone had a different theory. Honestly, I was getting frustrated and scared. Dr. Subathira was different. She actually sat and listened to my whole history, asked questions the others hadn't, and ordered a specific scan. It turned out to be something pretty rare. She explained it to me and my husband in plain English, drew a little diagram on a notepad, and laid out the options without any pressure. I felt like someone finally saw the whole picture.
Had to get a minor cyst removed. I was nervous at first, but Dr. Subathira made it feel like no big deal. The whole thing was over in what felt like twenty minutes. She talked me through each step as she was doing it, which really kept my mind off things. The follow-up was easy, too—just a quick check-in. Sometimes you just need something straightforward handled well, and that's exactly what happened.
The Apollo centre is a big place, and I got a bit turned around finding the clinic. One of the nurses, I think her name was Priya, saw me looking at the signs and walked me right to the door. The whole team in Dr. Subathira's office just seemed to work together really well. Even when the doctor was running a little late (which happens), the front desk kept us updated. It's the little things that make a stressful visit feel more manageable.
What I'll remember most is how Dr. Subathira talks to you. She doesn't rush. When I got my results, she didn't just read them out; she looked at me, made sure I was following, and asked if I had questions. She has this calm way about her that makes you feel like you're in capable hands, even when the news isn't perfect. You don't feel like just another file on her desk.
