Patient Experience
I'd been to a couple of doctors about this nagging fatigue and stomach thing. Everyone said it was stress. Dr. Susan George actually listened to the whole, messy story, asked questions no one else had, and ordered some specific tests. Turns out it was something pretty uncommon. She explained it all in a way that finally made sense, without making me feel dumb. She just figured it out when others didn't.
Had to get a minor cyst removed. Honestly, I was nervous at first, but Dr. George made it feel like no big deal. The whole thing was over in what felt like minutes. She talked me through each step, the local anesthetic worked perfectly, and the follow-up was just a quick check. It healed up cleanly. Sometimes simple things going right is all you need.
The hospital itself is nice, but what stood out was the team. From the front desk folks who helped when I was confused about the paperwork, to the nurse who saw I was anxious and just chatted about the weather to distract me. Everyone seemed to be on the same page. Even the person who cleaned the room was really considerate. It felt like a group effort, not just a doctor's visit.
What I'll remember most is how Dr. George talks to you. She doesn't rush. She sits down, looks you in the eye, and you feel like you're her only patient that day. When I got my diagnosis, she didn't just state it; she saw I was scared and took the time to really lay out the plan. She has a calm way about her that just makes you feel like you're in good hands, even when the news isn't great.
