Patient Experience
My dad needed cataract surgery and we were all pretty worried. Dr. Gulia sat down with all of us, my mom and my sister too, and explained everything in simple Hindi. He didn't rush us, answered every question, and even drew a little diagram. The surgery went perfectly and dad's reading his newspaper again without glasses. We felt looked after the whole time.
I've been scared of eye doctors since I was a kid, so putting off this checkup for ages. The clinic at Medanta is huge and I was really nervous. Dr. Gulia was just... calm. He talked through each machine before using it, told me exactly what he was doing, and when he said my eyes were healthy, I actually believed him. Left feeling silly for worrying so much.
Had a stubborn eye infection. Dr. Gulia fixed it. Straight to the point, knew his stuff. Waiting area was busy but the appointment itself was efficient. Prescription worked. Good experience.
It started with flashes in my vision. My local doctor in Dehradun said it was probably nothing, but it kept happening. I booked a train to Delhi to see Dr. Gulia at Medanta. He did a very thorough scan—took longer than I expected—and found a tiny retinal tear I didn't even know I had. He explained it could have gotten much worse. Did a laser procedure right there in his office. It was a bit uncomfortable, but he talked me through the whole thing. A month later, the flashes are gone. He caught something others missed.
