Patient Experience
I'd been to a few doctors over the last year for this constant stomach pain and fatigue. Everyone had a different theory. Dr. Agarwala was the first one who actually sat and pieced my whole history together, like a puzzle. He ordered a specific test the others hadn't, and it turned out to be something pretty rare. He explained it to me and my wife in plain language, no jargon. It was a relief just to have a name for it, and his plan actually worked.
Had to get my first colonoscopy at Medanta. I was nervous at first, I won't lie. But the whole thing was so straightforward. Dr. Agarwala's team walked me through each step, and the procedure itself was over before I knew it. The recovery area was quiet, and they gave me clear instructions before I left. It felt very routine for them, which made it less scary for me.
The hospital itself is huge, and I got a bit turned around finding the gastroenterology wing. Once I got there, though, the front desk lady saw I was confused and walked me right to the check-in counter. The nurse who took my vitals was really kind, and even the person who cleaned the room smiled and said hello. It's a busy place, but the staff made it feel less impersonal.
What I remember most is how Dr. Agarwala talked to me. I was scared about what the biopsy might show. He didn't rush. He pulled up a chair, looked me in the eye, and asked how I was holding up. He listened to my worries without interrupting. When he explained the next steps, he checked that I understood. He felt like a real person, not just a specialist in a white coat.
