Patient Experience
My 8-year-old son had been having stomach pains for weeks and we were really scared. Dr. Khiangte at Apollo was so kind with him, explained everything in a way a kid could understand, and didn't just jump to scary tests. He took his time, asked my son questions directly, and figured out it was a simple dietary issue. We left with a clear plan and, more importantly, my son wasn't afraid of doctors anymore. That meant the world to us.
I was a nervous wreck before my appointment. First time seeing a doctor in years, and my mind was racing with worst-case scenarios. Dr. Khiangte just had this calm way about him. He listened without interrupting, and when he explained what was probably going on (turned out to be stress and acid reflux), he made it sound manageable, not scary. I actually felt my shoulders relax in his office. He's the kind of doctor that makes you feel heard.
Had a weird rash that wouldn't go away. Saw Dr. Khiangte. He knew what it was right away, prescribed a cream. Rash cleared up in a few days. No fuss, got straight to the point. Would see him again.
I walked into Apollo Guwahati with this lingering cough that just wouldn't quit after a cold. The waiting area was busy, but once I got in to see Dr. Khiangte, he changed the whole pace. He didn't just ask about the cough; he asked about my sleep, my work stress, even if I'd been traveling. He actually examined my ears and throat thoroughly, which other doctors had skipped. He pieced together that it was partly allergies kicking in after the viral infection, something no one else had considered. The treatment he suggested worked, but it was that detective-like approach that impressed me most.
