Patient Experience
I'd been to a couple of doctors for this nagging stomach pain and fatigue, and everyone said it was just stress. Dr. Ashwin Tumkur actually listened. He asked questions about things no one else had, ran some different tests, and figured out it was a tricky gallbladder issue that wasn't showing up on the usual scans. I was nervous, but he explained it in a way that made sense without talking down to me. He got it right when others didn't.
Had to get a small cyst removed from my back. Honestly, I was more worried about the paperwork and the wait than the procedure itself. But at Apollo Hyderabad, it was surprisingly straightforward. Dr. Tumkur's team had everything sorted, and the actual removal took maybe twenty minutes. He checked in afterwards, the nurse gave clear instructions for the bandage, and that was that. Sometimes simple is good.
The parking at Apollo was a nightmare that day, completely full, so I was flustered by the time I got to Dr. Tumkur's clinic. But the lady at the front desk was really kind about it, and the nurse who took my vitals had a calming way about her. The place just felt efficient and clean, not cold. It made a long wait for my results much easier to handle.
What I remember most is how Dr. Tumkur talked to my elderly mother. She was confused and scared about her new medication. He didn't just rush through it. He sat down, looked her in the eye, and drew a little diagram on his notepad about how the pills would help her heart. He spoke to her, not just to me about her. You don't see that kind of patience every day.
