Patient Experience
I've been seeing Dr. Sampath for my blood pressure for almost 8 years now. He remembers my history without always checking the file, which I appreciate. The clinic at Star Hospital can get busy, but he never rushes me. That consistency is why I keep coming back.
As an older person, I find some doctors can be quite brisk. Dr. Sampath is not like that. He speaks clearly, explains things to me in a way I understand, and always asks if I'm comfortable. He treated a nasty chest infection I had last winter, and his calm manner made the whole experience much less frightening.
Had a weird stomach thing that wouldn't go away. Saw Dr. Sampath. He figured it out, gave me a prescription that actually worked. No fuss, got the job done. Parking at Star Hospital is always a nightmare though.
I went to Star Hospital feeling really run down and anxious—just convinced something was seriously wrong. Dr. Sampath listened to all my symptoms, which felt a bit silly to list out, but he didn't make me feel rushed. He ordered a few tests, ruled out the scary stuff, and it turned out to be a combination of a vitamin deficiency and stress. He sat me down, went through the results line by line on his computer screen, and laid out a simple plan. I walked out feeling a weight was lifted, not because of a magic cure, but because someone had finally taken the time to listen and explain.
