Patient Experience
My stomach issues had been going on for months, and a couple of other doctors just said it was stress. Dr. Patel wasn't convinced. He actually sat and went through my whole history again, ordered some different tests, and figured out it was a tricky gallbladder problem that wasn't showing up on the usual scans. I was nervous about surgery, but he explained it in a way that made sense. I'm finally feeling like myself again.
I needed a minor cyst removed from my back. Honestly, I was more worried about the scar than the procedure. Dr. Patel did it right there at Star Hospital. The whole thing took maybe twenty minutes. He kept chatting with me the whole time, which really helped. The parking lot was packed that day, but once I was in the room, everything was calm and straightforward. It healed up perfectly.
I had to bring my elderly father in for a check-up. The place at Banjara Hills is nice and clean, which he appreciates. But what really stood out was the front desk lady. My dad gets confused easily, and she was so patient with him, helping him fill out the forms without making him feel rushed. Even the nurse who took his vitals had a great way of talking to him. It made the whole visit less stressful for both of us.
Look, I don't like hospitals. I get anxious. The first time I met Dr. Patel, I was probably a bit short with him. He didn't seem to mind at all. He just listened, asked real questions, and never made me feel silly for being worried. He's got this very calm, direct way about him. You feel like you're talking to a person, not just a doctor in a white coat. That matters a lot.
