Patient Experience
I'd been to a couple of doctors for this nagging stomach pain and fatigue. Everyone said it was just stress. Dr. Potluri was different. He actually listened to my whole history, asked about a trip I'd taken months before, and ordered some specific tests others hadn't. Turned out it was a tricky parasitic thing. He explained it all with a diagram on his notepad—no jargon. Felt like we finally had a real target to treat.
Had to get a small cyst removed. Honestly, I was nervous at first, but the whole thing was so straightforward. Dr. Potluri walked me through each step on the day, the local anesthetic did its job, and it was over in what felt like minutes. The follow-up was just a quick check. Sometimes you just need something simple done right, with no drama, and that's exactly what it was.
The Apollo waiting area was actually calm, which helped. But what really stood out was the nurse at Dr. Potluri's clinic. I was alone and a bit flustered, paperwork everywhere. She saw it, came over, helped me sort it all out, and even got me a glass of water. Small thing, but it made a huge difference. The doctor was great, sure, but that kind of teamwork makes you feel properly looked after.
You know how some doctors talk at you while staring at a screen? Dr. Potluri isn't like that. When he comes in, he sits down, makes eye contact, and just... talks. He asked about my work, remembered my kid's name from a previous visit. It sounds silly, but when you're worried, that human connection matters more than anything. He's a good listener, which is a rare find.
