Patient Experience
I'd been to three other doctors about my constant fatigue and stomach issues, and everyone just said it was stress. Dr. Syamala actually listened. She asked a ton of questions I'd never been asked before and ordered some specific tests. Turns out it was a tricky thyroid problem that was messing with everything else. She explained it all on a notepad, drawing little diagrams. I finally feel like I'm getting somewhere.
Had to get a colonoscopy, which honestly scared me. The prep was the worst part, obviously. But on the day, Dr. Syamala and her team were so calm. She talked me through each step right before it happened—'you might feel some pressure now'—and that really helped. Woke up feeling fine, and she called me herself that evening to say everything looked clear. It was a relief to have it over with.
The Apollo waiting area was packed, I won't lie. But the nurses at Dr. Syamala's clinic were really on top of things. One of them saw I was looking confused and walked me to the lab herself. The whole place runs like clockwork. Even when things were busy, Dr. Syamala didn't rush our appointment. She took her time, which you don't always see.
My teenage son had a bad skin infection and was really self-conscious. Dr. Syamala had this great way with him—no baby talk, just straight facts delivered kindly. She joked a little about how annoying the medication routine would be, which made him smile. He left feeling like he had a plan, not just a prescription. That meant a lot to me as a parent.
