I'd been to a few doctors with this weird fatigue and stomach thing, and everyone just shrugged. It was getting scary. Dr. Üskent at Anadolu, he actually listened. I mean, really listened, asked questions about stuff no one else did. He ordered some specific tests and figured out it was a rare type of autoimmune issue. He explained it to me and my wife without any jargon, just laid out the plan. I'm on treatment now and finally feel like myself again. He didn't give up.

Had to get a colonoscopy, not exactly anyone's idea of a good time. I was pretty nervous about the whole thing. But honestly, from check-in to waking up, it was straightforward. The hospital itself is calm, which helps when you're stressed. The nurses at the check-in desk saw I was anxious and were really kind. What stuck with me was how Dr. Üskent talks to you. He doesn't rush. I had a million questions after my diagnosis, and he sat there and went through every single one, even drew a little diagram on his notepad. He has this calm way about him that makes you feel like you're in capable hands, not just being processed. You feel like a person, not a case file.
