Patient Experience
I'd been to a couple of doctors for this nagging abdominal pain, and they all said it was just stress. Dr. Düzgün was different. He actually listened, asked a ton of questions I hadn't been asked before, and ordered a specific scan the others hadn't. It turned out to be a rare type of hernia that was easy to miss. He explained it all with a diagram on his notepad, why it was tricky and how he could fix it. I finally felt like someone had the full picture.
Needed my gallbladder out, which I was told is pretty standard. Still, surgery is surgery, you know? I was nervous. But from the pre-op chat with Dr. Düzgün to waking up afterwards, everything just... happened. No drama. The incisions are tiny. I was home the next day, and the recovery has been exactly what he said it would be. Sometimes boring and straightforward is exactly what you want.
The Anadolu Medical Center itself is impressive, I won't lie. It feels more like a calm hotel than a hospital. But what really stood out was the team. The nurse who checked me in saw I was anxious and cracked a silly joke that actually made me laugh. The anesthesiologist took time to answer all my last-minute worries. It felt like Dr. Düzgün had a crew that was completely in sync with him, which made a huge difference.
Look, I'm not great with doctors. I get flustered. But Dr. Düzgün has this very calm, direct way about him. He doesn't sugarcoat things, but he also doesn't talk down to you. Before my procedure, he sat right down, looked me in the eye, and walked me through every single step. When I asked what probably seemed like a dumb question, he just answered it simply, no judgment. That kind of respect makes you feel safe.
