Patient Experience
I'd been to a few doctors about this nagging fatigue and weird joint pain. Everyone had a different theory. Dr. Tapan was the first one who actually sat and listened, really listened, to the whole timeline. He ordered a specific blood test the others hadn't thought of, and it turned out to be something quite rare. He explained it to me and my wife in plain Turkish, drew a little diagram on his notepad. It wasn't great news, but finally having a real answer and a clear plan made all the difference.
Had to get a colonoscopy, which honestly, I was dreading. The prep was as awful as everyone says, I won't lie. But the day of, at Anadolu, the whole thing was so straightforward. Dr. Tapan came in before, cracked a small joke that actually calmed me down. Next thing I knew, I was waking up in recovery feeling fine. Got the results right away, all clear. It was just a routine check, but they made a potentially stressful day feel very manageable.
The parking garage was completely full when I arrived for my appointment, which got me flustered and running late. But from the moment I walked in, the staff at the front desk were so calm and helpful. The nurse who took my vitals noticed I seemed anxious and just chatted with me about the weather while she worked. The whole center feels bright and quiet, not like a typical hospital. It really sets a tone that makes you feel like you're in good hands, even before you see the doctor.
Look, I'm not great with doctors. I get nervous and clam up. Dr. Tapan has this way of just... being normal. He doesn't rush. He asks about my work, remembers my kid's name from last time. When he explains things, he looks at me to make sure I'm following, and he never makes me feel silly for asking a basic question. That kind of patience and genuine interest is rare. I trust him because he feels like a person first, a doctor second.
