Patient Experience
I'd been to a few doctors about this nagging fatigue and stomach pain. Everyone said it was stress. Dr. Ghosh was the first one who actually sat and listened, really listened, to everything I was saying. He ordered a couple of specific tests others hadn't thought of, and it turned out to be something quite rare with my pancreas. He explained it all in a way I could finally understand, without talking down to me. He didn't just give me pills; he gave me a clear path forward.
Had to get a colonoscopy, which honestly scared me more than I let on. The prep was the worst part, obviously. On the day, Dr. Ghosh and his team at Apollo were so calm about it all. The procedure itself was over before I knew it. He came and talked to me after, showed me the pictures, and said everything looked perfectly normal. It was such a relief. Sometimes, boring and routine is exactly what you want from a doctor's visit.
Look, the parking at Apollo is always a bit of a hunt. But once I got inside for my appointment with Dr. Ghosh, things were smooth. The lady at the front desk remembered my name from my last visit, which was a nice touch. The nurse who took my vitals was really kind and chatted with me about the rain to distract me—I was nervous about my blood pressure reading. It felt like a team effort, not just one person.
What I remember most is how he talked to my mother. She's elderly and gets confused. Dr. Ghosh didn't just look at me for answers. He spoke directly to her, slowly and clearly, asking about her pain. He even drew a little diagram on his notepad to show her where the arthritis was acting up. He treated her with such patience and respect. That meant more to our family than any prescription.
