Patient Experience
I'd been to three other doctors about this constant fatigue and stomach pain. Everyone said it was stress. Dr. Sengupta actually listened to the whole, messy story, asked questions no one else had, and ordered a specific test. Turns out it was a rare parasite. He explained it in plain Bengali, drew me a little diagram on his notepad, and the treatment worked. I finally feel like myself again.
Had to get a colonoscopy, which honestly scared me. The prep was the worst part, obviously. But on the day, Dr. Sengupta and his team were so calm. He cracked a small joke as I was going under, which helped. Woke up, everything was fine, and he showed me the pictures right there, pointing out what was normal. It felt very straightforward, no drama.
The parking at Apollo was a nightmare that day, completely full. I was flustered by the time I got to the clinic. But the receptionist saw I was stressed, got me a glass of water while I waited, and the nurse who took my vitals was really gentle. The whole place just felt efficient and kind, which took the edge off a stressful morning.
My teenage son had to see him, and he was being a typical grumpy, closed-off kid. Dr. Sengupta didn't push. He talked to him directly, not just to me, and somehow got him to open up about what was really bothering him. He has this quiet, patient way of talking that doesn't feel rushed. My son actually said afterwards, 'He's alright.' High praise.
