Patient Experience
I'd been to three other doctors about this constant fatigue and weird joint pain. Everyone said it was stress or just getting older. Dr. Roy was the first one who actually listened to my whole timeline, asked about a rash I'd had months ago that I thought was nothing. He ordered a specific blood test the others hadn't. Turns out it was Lyme disease. Starting treatment finally felt like we had a real target, not just guesses.
Had to get a mole on my back checked. Honestly, I was dreading it—thought it would be a whole production. Dr. Roy's clinic was running a little behind that day, but once I got in, it was quick and straightforward. He explained what he was looking at, removed it right there, and I was out in twenty minutes. The whole thing was just... normal, which is exactly what you want for something like that.
The place itself was calm, which helped a lot because I was pretty anxious. The woman at the front desk saw me fidgeting and offered me a water while I waited. Later, the nurse who took my vitals was really gentle and cracked a small joke about the blood pressure cuff. It wasn't anything fancy, but the way the staff worked together made a stressful visit feel manageable.
What stuck with me was how he talked to my mom. She's older and gets confused easily. He didn't just talk to me about her medication. He turned his chair, looked right at her, and explained everything in simple terms, checking if she understood. He didn't rush her questions. You could see her relax. That kind of patience is rare.
