Patient Experience
I'd been feeling run down for months, and a few other doctors just told me to get more rest. Dr. Mondal was different. She actually listened, asked a bunch of questions I hadn't been asked before, and ordered some specific tests. Turns out it was a thyroid issue that wasn't showing up on the standard panels. She explained it all on a notepad, drawing little diagrams. I'm finally on the right treatment and feel like myself again.
Had to get a small cyst removed. Honestly, I was pretty nervous about the whole thing. Dr. Mondal walked me through exactly what would happen, step by step, which helped a lot. The procedure itself was quick, and she checked in the next day to see how the healing was going. It was straightforward, just like she said it would be.
The Apollo facility is nice, I won't lie, though finding a parking spot is its own adventure. What stood out was the team. The nurse at the front desk saw I was anxious and got me a glass of water. The assistant in Dr. Mondal's room was really gentle when taking my blood pressure. It felt like everyone was on the same page, which made a long day at the hospital less stressful.
My teenage son had a bad stomach bug and was really embarrassed about the whole thing. Dr. Mondal had this great way of talking to him directly, not just to me. She cracked a small joke that actually made him smile, and she explained everything in a way he could understand without talking down to him. He left feeling a lot better, and not just physically.
