Patient Experience
I was so scared going in for my first check-up. My hands were literally shaking. Dr. Chatterjee just talked to me like a normal person, explained everything in simple words, and didn't rush me at all. I walked out feeling like a weight was off my shoulders. The hospital is big and a bit confusing, but his clinic was calm.
My dad was admitted with a bad fever. Dr. Chatterjee was the one who actually called me directly to explain what was happening and what the plan was. He didn't just talk to the patient; he made sure the family understood. That meant everything to us when we were worried sick. He was clear, patient with our questions, and just really decent.
Had a weird stomach thing for weeks. Saw Dr. Chatterjee at Manipal. He got straight to the point, ordered the right tests, figured it out. Fixed me up. No fuss, good doctor.
So I'd been putting off seeing anyone about this nagging pain in my side for months. Finally booked an appointment, got lost twice in the Manipal corridors (my fault, the signs are there). Dr. Chatterjee listened to my whole rambling story, asked a few really specific questions I hadn't even thought about, and then did a physical exam that was thorough but not uncomfortable. He laid out two possible paths wait and see with some diet changes, or do a scan. We decided together to try the simple fix first, and it worked. I appreciated that he didn't jump straight to the most complicated option.
