Patient Experience
I'd been to a couple of doctors about this nagging fatigue and stomach pain, and everyone just said it was stress. Dr. Saidul Islam actually listened. He didn't rush me, asked a lot of questions I hadn't been asked before, and ordered some specific tests. Turns out it was a tricky vitamin deficiency combined with a mild infection nobody else had caught. He explained it all on a notepad, drawing little diagrams. I'm finally feeling like myself again.
Had to get a small cyst removed. Honestly, I was pretty nervous about the whole thing needles and all that. The procedure itself at Manipal was over before I knew it. Dr. Islam talked me through each step as he did it, which really kept me calm. The parking lot was packed that day, but once I was in, everything moved quickly. Follow-up was a breeze, just a quick check of the stitches.
The clinic was running a bit behind schedule, which I guess happens. But what stood out was how the nurse at the front desk handled it. She apologized for the wait, kept us updated, and was just really kind. The whole place felt clean and calm, not like a typical hectic hospital. When I finally saw Dr. Islam, he didn't seem rushed at all, which made the wait worth it.
Look, I'm not great with doctors. I get awkward. But Dr. Islam has this really straightforward, no-nonsense way of talking that puts you at ease. He doesn't sugarcoat things, but he also doesn't talk down to you. When I had questions about my treatment plan, he answered them directly without using a ton of confusing medical terms. Felt like I was talking to a knowledgeable person who just wanted to help, not a distant expert.
