Patient Experience
I'd been to a few doctors with this weird fatigue and stomach pain, and everyone just said it was stress. Dr. Das actually sat and listened, asked about things no one else did, like the exact color of my urine. He ordered a specific blood test others hadn't. Turns out it was a rare liver thing. He explained it all on a notepad, drew diagrams. He didn't just find the problem; he made sure I understood it.
Had to get a cyst removed from my back. Honestly, I was nervous at first, but Dr. Das made it simple. The whole thing took maybe twenty minutes in his clinic at Manipal. He talked me through each step as he did it 'little pinch now,' 'just some pressure' and he was right. It was smoother than I expected. Follow-up was quick, and the scar is barely there.
The place was busy, parking was a bit of a hunt, I won't lie. But once inside, the front desk lady saw I was flustered and helped me out. The whole vibe at Manipal's EM Bypass location is calm. Even the person who took my blood samples was really gentle and chatted to distract me. Dr. Das was great, but honestly, the team around him made a tough day much easier.
What stuck with me was how Dr. Das talks to you. He doesn't rush. He pulls his chair up, looks you in the eye, and asks 'What are your main worries?' When my mother was sick, he'd explain things to her in Bengali, even though his English is perfect, just so she was comfortable. He has a quiet way of making you feel like you're the only patient he has that day.
