Patient Experience
I'd been to a couple of doctors for this nagging stomach pain and fatigue. Everyone said it was just stress. Dr. Shivani Grover actually listened, asked a bunch of questions I hadn't been asked before, and ordered some specific tests. Turns out it was a tricky thyroid issue that was messing with everything else. She explained it all on a notepad, drawing little diagrams. I finally felt like someone had found the right puzzle piece.
Had to get a small cyst removed. Honestly, I was more nervous about the hospital experience than the procedure itself. But with Dr. Grover, it was just... straightforward. She told me exactly what would happen, step by step, no sugar-coating. The whole thing was over in what felt like twenty minutes. The scar is tiny now. Sometimes you just want things to be simple, and it was.
The Apollo waiting area was actually calm, which helped. My dad was the patient, and the nurse at the front desk saw he was getting a bit confused with the forms. She came over, helped him fill them out quietly, and got us a glass of water. It's those small things, you know? Dr. Grover's clinic felt organized, not chaotic. Even the parking attendant was polite when I had to circle around a second time.
Look, I don't like hospitals. I get anxious. When I met Dr. Grover, I was probably talking too fast. She just let me finish, didn't look at the clock. Her tone was so calm it sort of forced me to calm down too. She has this way of making a medical explanation sound like a normal conversation. I didn't feel like just a case number in there.
