Patient Experience
I'd been feeling off for months, tired all the time with weird aches. Saw a couple of doctors who just said it was stress. Dr. Gautam actually listened to the whole, rambling story. He ordered some specific tests no one else had thought of and figured out it was a tricky autoimmune thing. He explained it to me in plain English, drew a little diagram on a notepad. Starting treatment now and finally feel like I'm on the right path.
Had to get a minor cyst removed. Honestly, I was more nervous about the hospital visit than the procedure itself. Parking was a nightmare, I was late and flustered. But Dr. Gautam's team was so calm. The whole thing took maybe twenty minutes. He chatted about cricket during the local anesthetic, which helped. Sore for a couple days, but it healed clean. Just a straightforward bit of business, really.
The place is busy, I won't lie. Had to wait a bit past my appointment time. But what stood out was how the nurse at the front desk noticed I was anxious. She got me some water, checked in on me. The whole floor felt clean and organized, not chaotic. Even the person who took my blood samples was really gentle. It made a stressful day much easier to handle.
My teenage son needed a physical for school sports and was being a typical grumpy teen about it. Dr. Gautam didn't talk down to him. He asked him questions directly, joked with him a little. By the end, my kid was actually engaged, asking his own questions about hydration for training. It was a simple check-up, but the way the doctor connected with him made all the difference. Felt like we were all on the same team.
