Patient Experience
I'd been to three other doctors about this constant fatigue and stomach pain. They all said it was stress. Dr. Desai actually listened, asked a bunch of questions I hadn't been asked before, and ordered a specific test the others hadn't. Turns out it was a rare type of celiac disease. She explained it all with a diagram on her notepadno fancy jargon, just clear facts. I finally have answers and a plan.
Had to get my gallbladder out. Honestly, I was nervous at first because, you know, surgery. But Dr. Desai walked me through every single step, even the boring parts about the anaesthesia. The procedure itself was straightforward, recovery was exactly as she said it would bea bit sore, but manageable. It felt very routine for them, which actually made me feel safer.
The hospital itself is nice, but what stood out was the team. From the front desk person who helped me find my way when I was lost, to the nurse who saw I was anxious and just chatted about cricket for a minute to distract me. It felt like everyone was on the same page. Even the person who brought the food was kind. It made a stressful day much easier to handle.
What I really liked about Dr. Desai is that she doesn't rush you. She sits down, looks at you, and lets you finish your sentences. I had a million worries about my dad's health, some of them probably silly. She heard them all out and addressed each one without making me feel foolish. That kind of patience is rare.
