Patient Experience
Had my gallbladder out with Dr. Chulani. The surgery itself went fine, but honestly, I was really scared about the pain after. He was straight with me about what to expect, and his team at Lilavati had a clear plan for managing it. The first couple days were rough, but they adjusted my meds quickly when I needed it. I felt like they were actually listening, not just following a chart. Still sore, but getting better each day.
My 8-year-old son had terrible stomach pains for weeks. We saw two other doctors who just said it was gas. Dr. Chulani was the first one to really sit down with him, ask him questions in a way he understood, and actually look worried. He ordered the right scan at Lilavati and found it was a minor blockage. He explained everything to us, the parents, without making us feel stupid for being scared. My boy is back to eating and playing now. We finally slept through the night.
Dr. Chulani is good. Fixed my hernia. No nonsense, tells you how it is. The hospital parking is always a nightmare, fair warning.
I've had this nagging digestive issue for yearsbloating, discomfort, the works. I'd sort of learned to live with it. My wife finally made me see someone. Dr. Chulani didn't just prescribe pills. He asked about my job (stressful), my diet (terrible), and actually drew a little diagram on his notepad to show me what he thought was happening. He said, 'Let's try fixing the cause, not just the symptom.' It was a process, with some diet changes and follow-ups, but for the first time in ages, I feel normal. He remembered small details from previous visits, which made a big difference.
