Patient Experience
I'd been to three different doctors for this weird, constant fatigue and low fever. Everyone said it was stress. Dr. Deshpande was the first one who actually sat me down, listened to my whole history again, and ordered a specific set of tests nobody else had thought of. Turned out it was a low-grade infection hiding in a place you wouldn't normally look. He figured it out when no one else could. I'm just glad he didn't give up.
Had to get a small cyst removed. Honestly, I was more nervous about the hospital process than the actual thing. Dr. Deshpande's team at Lilavati had it down to a science. In and out the same day. The procedure itself was quick, he explained each step as he went, and the stitches were so neat you can barely see the scar now. It was just... straightforward, which is exactly what you want.
Parking at Lilavati is always a bit of a hunt, I won't lie. But once you're inside, it makes sense. The place runs smoothly. What stood out for me was the nurse at the front desk. I was confused about which wing to go to, and she didn't just point; she walked me halfway there herself, chatting to put me at ease. That kind of thing makes a big difference when you're feeling anxious.
My teenage son had to see him, and he was being a typical grumpy, closed-off kid about it. Dr. Deshpande didn't push. He just talked to him like a person, cracked a silly joke about phone batteries, and got him to open up. He has this calm, no-rush way of talking that makes you feel like you're his only patient that day. My son actually said afterwards, 'He's alright.' High praise.
