Patient Experience
I'd been to three different doctors over six months for this nagging abdominal pain. Everyone said it was just stress. Dr. Ruparel actually sat and listened, asked questions no one else had, and ordered a specific scan. Turned out to be a rare type of hernia that was easy to miss. He explained it all with a diagram on his notepad. Finally, an answer.
Had to get a cyst removed from my back. Honestly, I was nervous at first, but Dr. Ruparel made it feel like no big deal. The whole thing took maybe twenty minutes in his clinic room at Lilavati. He talked me through each step, and I was back home having lunch. Sometimes simple things are done well, and that matters.
The parking at Lilavati was a nightmare that day, completely full. By the time I got to the clinic, I was flustered. But the lady at Dr. Ruparel's front desk was so calm. She got me sorted, offered water, and the nurse who took my vitals had a really kind way about her. It made a stressful start much easier to handle.
What I remember most is how he spoke to my elderly father. Dad gets confused easily and was scared. Dr. Ruparel didn't just talk to me; he knelt down so he was at eye level with Dad in the wheelchair, spoke slowly, and checked if he understood. He treated him like a person, not a problem. That meant everything to us.
