Patient Experience
I'd been to a couple of doctors about this constant fatigue and weird joint pain, and everyone just said it was stress. Dr. Vaidya actually listened. He asked questions about stuff I hadn't even thought was connected, like a rash I'd ignored. He ordered some specific tests and it turned out to be something called lupus. It was scary to hear, but finally having a name for it and a plan made all the difference. He explained it without sugar-coating, which I needed.
Had to get my gallbladder out. Honestly, I was nervous at first, but Dr. Vaidya made the whole thing feel straightforward. He walked me through exactly what would happen, step by step, and answered all my 'what if' questions without making me feel silly. The surgery itself was fine, recovery was exactly as he said it would be. No drama, just good, clear care from start to finish.
The parking at Lilavati is always a bit of a hunt, I won't lie! But once you're inside, it's a different story. The front desk people remembered my name on my second visit, which was nice. The nurses on the floor were really kind, especially when I was feeling groggy after my procedure. One of them even helped me call my son when my phone battery died. It's a busy place, but the staff make it feel less impersonal.
What stuck with me about Dr. Vaidya was how he talked to my elderly mother. She gets confused easily and is hard of hearing. He didn't just talk to me about her care. He sat down, looked right at her, spoke slowly and clearly, and checked she understood every point. He treated her with such simple respect. You don't see that everywhere. That meant more to our family than any medicine.
