Patient Experience
I'd been to three other doctors about this constant fatigue and weird joint pain. Everyone said it was stress or just getting older. Dr. Mallick was the first one who actually listened to the whole timeline. He ordered a specific blood test the others hadn't, and it turned out to be something pretty rare. He sat with me and my wife and drew a diagram on his notepad to explain what was happening. Finally having a name for it, and a plan, was a huge relief.
Had to get a small cyst removed from my back. Honestly, I was nervous about the whole 'going under' thing. Dr. Mallick talked me through every single step before the day, even the anaesthesia part. On the day, the procedure itself was over before I knew it. Recovery was exactly as he said it would beno surprises, no drama. It just went like clockwork.
The hospital itself is nice and clean, but what stood out was the team. From the front desk people who helped me figure out my insurance paperwork without making me feel stupid, to the nurse who saw I was anxious in pre-op and just chatted with me about my dog until I calmed down. It felt like everyone was on the same page. Even the person who brought the food was really kind.
My teenage son had to see him, and he's at that age where he hates doctors and doesn't say a word. Dr. Mallick didn't just talk to me; he spoke directly to my son in a really normal, non-patronizing way. Cracked a silly joke about mobile games to break the ice. He made my kid feel like he was part of the conversation, not just a problem to be solved. That meant a lot.
