Patient Experience
I'd been to three doctors for this constant fatigue and weird joint pain. Everyone said it was stress or just getting older. Dr. Mehta actually listened to the whole, messy story. He ordered a specific blood test the others hadn't, and it turned out to be something quite rare. He sat with my wife and me for a good twenty minutes, drawing diagrams on a notepad to explain what it was and the treatment plan. Felt like someone finally turned on a light in a dark room.
Had to get a colonoscopy—never fun, but it was time. I was pretty nervous about the whole thing. Dr. Mehta's team walked me through every single step beforehand, which helped a lot. The day of, the procedure itself was over before I knew it. No fuss, no drama. Dr. Mehta popped in after, showed me a couple pictures, said everything looked clear, and that was that. Sometimes straightforward is exactly what you need.
Look, the parking at Apollo is always a nightmare, so I was already flustered when I arrived. But the front desk lady was really kind, and the nurse who took my vitals had this calm way about her that settled me down. The whole place just felt efficient but not cold. Even the phlebotomist drew blood on the first try! It made waiting for my appointment with Dr. Mehta much less stressful.
My teenage son had to see Dr. Mehta for a sports physical that turned into a discussion about some anxiety he'd been having. I was worried the doctor would just brush it off. Instead, he talked directly to my son, not just to me. He asked questions in a way that didn't feel like an interrogation, and he didn't rush us out. My son left saying, 'He's alright.' That's high praise.
