Patient Experience
I'd been feeling off for months, tired all the time with weird aches. A couple of other doctors just shrugged it off as stress. Dr. Sushma was different. She actually listened, asked a ton of questions I hadn't even thought about, and ordered some specific tests. Turns out it was something pretty uncommon with my thyroid. She explained it all in a way I could actually understand, without talking down to me. Finally having an answer, and a plan, was a huge relief.
Had to get a small cyst removed. Honestly, I was nervous about any kind of procedure. Dr. Sushma walked me through the whole thing step-by-step before we even scheduled it. The day of, it was so quick and straightforward. The worst part was probably the parking situationhad to circle around a few times. But the procedure itself? Smooth as anything. Follow-up was easy, and the scar is barely there now.
The hospital itself is nice and clean, which helps when you're already anxious. But what really stood out was the team. The front desk lady helped me fill out a form I was struggling with, and the nurse who took my vitals was really calming, just chatting about everyday stuff. It felt like everyone, from the reception to Dr. Sushma's assistant, was actually on the same page and wanted to help.
What I remember most is how Dr. Sushma talks to you. I brought my elderly mother in, and she was really confused and scared. Dr. Sushma didn't just talk to me; she knelt down to be at eye level with my mom, spoke slowly, and held her hand while explaining what she was going to check. It wasn't just clinical; it was genuinely kind. That meant the world to us.
