Patient Experience
I'd been feeling off for months, just tired and achy. A few other doctors had shrugged it off as stress. Dr. Kulkarni actually listened to the whole history, asked questions no one else had, and ordered a specific set of tests. It turned out to be something pretty rare, and she explained it all with a diagram on her notepad. She didn't make me feel like a hypochondriac for pushing for answers. Apollo's lab got it done quickly, too.
Had to get a minor cyst removed. Honestly, I was nervous at first about any procedure. Dr. Kulkarni walked me through exactly what would happen, step by step, and the whole thing was over in what felt like ten minutes. The worst part was the parking garage being full that morning. The follow-up was just as straightforward. It's nice when something medical is just... simple.
The clinic at Apollo Pune was busy, as expected, but the nurses at Dr. Kulkarni's station were really on the ball. One of them saw I was looking a bit lost after check-in and pointed me to the right waiting area. The place was clean and calm, which helped. When Dr. Kulkarni came in, she was clearly briefed by them, so we didn't have to start from zero. The whole team worked together well.
What stuck with me was how Dr. Kulkarni talks to you. She sits down, makes eye contact, and never rushes you even though you know she's busy. When I told her my worries, she didn't just dismiss them with a pat answer. She took them seriously and addressed each one without any medical jargon. It felt like talking to a very smart, calm friend who happens to know a lot about medicine.
