Patient Experience
I'd been feeling run down for months, and my local GP was stumped. Dr. Nishit Shah at Apollo actually listened to the whole, weird history. He connected dots others missed and ordered a specific test I'd never heard of. Turns out it was a pretty rare thyroid issue. He explained it all with a whiteboard in his office, which helped a lot. Starting treatment now and finally feel hopeful.
Had to get a colonoscopy, which nobody looks forward to. The prep was the worst part, honestly. But the day of, Dr. Shah's team kept things moving. The procedure itself was a blur, and when I woke up, he was there with the all-clear results and some pictures. Whole thing was straightforward, no drama. Back to normal the next day.
The Apollo facility in Pune is nice, but I got there late and the parking was a nightmare. I was flustered walking in. The front desk lady was really patient, and the nurse who took my vitals had a calm way about her that settled me right down. Even the cleaner in the hallway gave me a smile. It made waiting to see the doctor much less stressful.
Look, I'm not great with doctors. I get nervous and clam up. Dr. Shah has this quiet, no-rush style. He sat down, asked about my work, and just let me get to my knee pain in my own time. Didn't look at the clock once. When he examined it, his hands were really gentle. Felt like he was actually there with me, not just processing a symptom.
