Patient Experience
I'd been to a couple of doctors about this nagging fatigue and stomach pain, and everyone just said it was stress. Dr. Mayilan was different. He actually listened, asked a ton of questions I hadn't been asked before, and ordered some specific tests. Turns out it was a tricky vitamin deficiency combined with a mild infection that was easy to miss. He explained it all on a notepad, drawing little diagrams. I finally feel like I'm getting better, not just being managed.
Had to get a small cyst removed. Honestly, I was nervous at first, but Dr. Mayilan made it so straightforward. The whole thing at Apollo Trichy was quick—in and out in a few hours. The procedure itself was fine, hardly any pain. He checked in the next day himself, which I didn't expect. It was just a simple thing, but it went exactly as he said it would, no surprises.
The hospital itself was busy, parking was a bit of a hunt, I won't lie. But once inside, the staff at the front desk and the nurses in Dr. Mayilan's section were really kind. They could see I was anxious and kept things moving. The place was clean and calm, which helped a lot. It felt organized, even when it was crowded.
What stuck with me was how Dr. Mayilan talks to you. He doesn't rush. When I was worried about some test results, he sat down, looked me in the eye, and broke it all down in plain Tamil. No scary medical jargon. He has this calm way about him that makes you feel like you're in good hands, even when discussing the not-so-great stuff. That matters more than anything.
