Patient Experience
I'd been to a couple of doctors for this nagging stomach pain and fatigue, everyone said it was just stress. Dr. Hari Prasada Rao wasn't convinced. He actually sat and went through my old reports again, asked about things no one else had, like a trip I took months ago. Ordered a specific test I'd never heard of. Turns out it was a parasitic infection, not common here at all. He figured it out when others didn't even look.
Needed to get a small cyst removed. Honestly, I was nervous at first, but Dr. Dumpala made it sound so straightforward. The whole thing was maybe 20 minutes in his procedure room. He talked me through each step, even cracked a silly joke about the local anesthetic. It healed up perfectly, no fuss. Sometimes simple things are just done right.
The hospital itself is nice and clean, I'll say that. But what really stood out was the lady at the front desk when I came in, completely flustered because parking was full. She was so calm, guided me to another spot, and remembered my name when I walked back in. The nurses on the floor were the sameefficient and kind, not rushed. It made a long day feel less stressful.
You know how some doctors talk at you, not to you? Dr. Rao isn't like that. I had a lot of questions, some probably dumb, about my dad's new medication. He pulled up a chair, drew little diagrams on his notepad about how it works, and never once made me feel rushed. He has this quiet, patient way of explaining that just makes you feel heard. That matters more than anything.
