Patient Experience
I'd been to a couple of doctors about this nagging stomach pain and fatigue. Everyone said it was just stress. Dr. Rao listened differently. He asked questions about things no one else had, even what I'd been eating on a normal Tuesday. He ordered some specific tests and it turned out to be a tricky gallbladder issue that wasn't showing up the usual way. He explained it all on a notepad, drawing little diagrams. I'm just relieved someone finally figured it out.
Had to get a small cyst removed from my back. Honestly, I was nervous about any kind of procedure. Dr. Rao's clinic at Apollo Warangal handled it so simply. He talked me through each step before he did it, which helped a lot. The whole thing was over in maybe twenty minutes, and the nurse gave clear instructions for the bandage. It was one of those things you build up in your head, but it was straightforward and painless.
The parking at the hospital was completely full that day, which put me in a bad mood before my appointment. But from the moment I walked in, the front desk staff were really patient helping me reschedule my slot. The nurse who took my vitals was kind and chatted about the weather to distract me. Even the cleaner in the hallway smiled. It's a busy place, but it didn't feel cold. Dr. Rao was running a bit late because of it, but his assistant came out to let us know, which I appreciated.
What I remember most is how Dr. Rao talked to my elderly mother. She gets confused easily and is scared of hospitals. He didn't just talk to me about her medication. He sat down, looked right at her, and spoke slowly, checking if she understood. He even joked with her about her favorite TV serial to get her to relax. You can tell he sees the person, not just the patient file. That meant the world to us.
