Patient Experience
I'd had this nagging pain in my jaw for months, and two other dentists just told me it was a cavity. Dr. Varit actually sat and listened, asked a bunch of questions, and took a different kind of scan. Turns out it was a tiny crack in the root of a tooth I'd had a filling in years ago. No one else caught it. He explained the whole thing with a little drawing, and his plan to fix it made sense. I'm just glad someone finally figured it out.
Honestly, I was just in for a cleaning and check-up. I was a bit nervous because my last cleaning elsewhere was pretty rough. But Dr. Varit and his hygienist were great. The cleaning was thorough but didn't hurt, and he checked everything without making me feel rushed. He pointed out a spot I should floss better, but wasn't scolding about it. In and out in under an hour, and my teeth feel fantastic. It's how a routine visit should be.
The hospital itself is nice and modern, but what stood out was the front desk lady. I was running late, the parking was a nightmare, and I arrived flustered. She was so calm, got me checked in quickly with a smile, and even remembered to ask if I needed a receipt for my insurance before I left. The dental assistant was also really kind, making small talk while setting things up. It made a potentially stressful errand feel manageable.
I have a real fear of dentists, like, sweating-bullets fear. My first visit with Dr. Varit, I probably didn't say two words. He noticed and just started talking me through every single step before he did it—'okay, you'll feel some water now,' 'this might feel cold for a second.' He never got impatient, even when I asked him to stop once. He just waited. I've never had a dentist who seemed to actually care that I was scared, not just annoyed by it.
