Dr. Arvinder Soin Singh

Dr. Arvinder Singh Soin is a globally recognized liver transplant specialist and one of the most accomplished surgeons in the field of hepatobiliary and transplant surgery. With nearly 1,500 successful liver transplants, he holds the record for performing the highest number of liver transplants in India.

Currently serving as the Chairman of the Institute of Liver Transplantation and Regenerative Medicine at Medanta - The Medicity, Gurgaon, Dr. Soin leads a high-performing team that conducts around 25 liver transplants per month, maintaining a remarkable 95% success rate. His expertise attracts patients not only from across India but also from South Asia, the Middle East, and Africa.

Dr. Soin’s outstanding contribution to liver transplantation in India has earned him several prestigious accolades. He is a recipient of the Padma Shri, one of the country's highest civilian honors, awarded by the President of India. He has also been recognized in the Limca Book of Records for achieving the highest number of liver transplants for four consecutive years. His other awards include the R.D. Birla Award for clinical excellence and the DMA Award for leadership in organ transplantation.

Before joining Medanta, Dr. Soin held senior roles at Sir Ganga Ram Hospital and Indraprastha Apollo Hospitals in New Delhi. His international training includes positions such as Registrar in Transplant Surgery at Addenbrooke’s Hospital, Cambridge, and Senior House Officer in Transplant Surgery in Birmingham, UK.
