Endometrial Hyperplasia Treatment in Turkey

Endometrial hyperplasia is a condition characterized by an excessive thickening of the uterine lining (endometrium), often due to an imbalance of the hormones estrogen and progesterone. While not cancer itself, certain types, particularly those with atypical cells, are considered precancerous and significantly increase the risk of developing endometrial cancer. An oncologist, a cancer specialist, manages this condition to prevent progression to malignancy. Diagnosis typically involves a transvaginal ultrasound and an endometrial biopsy. Treatment is tailored based on the type of hyperplasia (with or without atypia) and the patient's age and desire for future fertility.
