Dr. Naresh Trehan is an internationally acclaimed heart surgeon and healthcare visionary, widely recognized for his groundbreaking contributions to cardiothoracic and vascular surgery. As the founder and Chairman of Medanta – The Medicity in Gurugram, he has played a transformative role in shaping modern cardiac care in India.

With a career spanning over four decades, Dr. Trehan has successfully performed more than 50,000 open-heart surgeries, earning global recognition for his clinical expertise and innovative techniques. A graduate of King George’s Medical University, Lucknow, he further honed his skills in the United States, holding key positions at prestigious institutions like New York University Medical Center and Bellevue Hospital.

Dr. Trehan's legacy includes the establishment of the Escorts Heart Institute, one of India's premier cardiac care centers. Before founding Medanta, he also contributed significantly to Apollo Hospitals in New Delhi. In 1991, he was appointed as the personal cardiac surgeon to the President of India—a testament to his excellence and trustworthiness in the field.
