Dr. Srinivasan Ramananthan

I'd been to three different doctors for months of fatigue and weird joint pains. Everyone said it was stress. Dr. Ramananthan at Lilavati actually sat and listened, really listened, to my whole history. He ordered a specific blood test the others hadn't. Turns out it was something quite rare. He explained it to me and my husband without any drama, just clear facts and a plan. He didn't make me feel like a hypochondriac.

Had to get a colonoscopy, which honestly scared me more than it should have. The prep was the worst part, obviously. On the day, Dr. Ramananthan was very calm. The hospital itself is nice, but what stood out was his team. His nurse, especially. I was pretty anxious in the waiting room (parking was a nightmare that day). She saw me fidgeting, came over, and just said, 'Not long now, would you like some water?' It was a small thing, but it helped a lot. They all seemed to work together really smoothly.

My mom is elderly and gets confused. Dr. Ramananthan has this way of talking to her directly, not just to me. He speaks slower, uses simpler words, and always checks if she understands. He'll even draw little diagrams sometimes. She trusts him completely, which is huge because she's usually suspicious of doctors. He's just very kind, in a quiet, no-nonsense sort of way.
